Richik Ghosh, PhD, PMP
Dr. Ghosh joined ChemImage in 2020 as its Director of Program Management. He is responsible for leading project and program management activities, and the implementation of project management best practices across a portfolio of internally and externally funded hyperspectral imaging-based detection projects and programs.
Dr. Ghosh has developed, applied, and commercialized advanced optical imaging technologies for different life sciences, biotechnology, and related healthcare areas in academic, start-up, and Fortune 500 organizations. He was a Senior Program Manager, Principal Scientist, and Director of Research and Development groups at Cellomics, Pierce Biotechnology, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. While at Thermo Fisher Scientific, he led multiple product development programs in its Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry division, Protein and Cell Analysis business, and Cell Imaging and Analysis business. He is passionate about facilitating and leveraging cross-functional teams and business partners to develop innovative products and solutions to achieve strategic growth.
He has a B.S. in Engineering Physics, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Cornell University. He conducted post-doctoral research in cell biology in the Pathology Department at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, and also served as an Assistant Professor in the Biochemistry Department at Weill Cornell Medical College. He has published extensively, been issued multiple patents, and lectured widely on his work on developing and applying novel tools and applications for quantitative cell-based imaging. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
