Heather Gomer
Ms. Gomer is an algorithm scientist with over 15 years of experience in signal and image processing, algorithm development and machine learning. In 2010, she joined ChemImage as a Senior Algorithm Scientist and was subsequently promoted to Principal Algorithm Scientist. She has risen to her current role of Director through her successful leadership of algorithm development efforts at ChemImage. Ms. Gomer manages ChemImage’s Algorithm Functional Area and has served as Algorithms Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead on numerous Life Sciences projects and product development efforts.
Ms. Gomer earned both a BS with University and College Honors and an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. She was awarded the Frank J. Marshall Scholar Award in recognition of outstanding scholastic and research achievement, as well as the Lockheed Martin Scholar Award. While studying at CMU, Ms. Gomer adopted a focus in biomedical imaging research, which translates to her work at ChemImage.
In her free time, Ms. Gomer enjoys traveling, baking, cycling, and spending time with her family and dog.
