Dan Metzinger

Mr. Metzinger is a multidisciplinary engineer bringing over 15 years of experience developing and manufacturing military and commercial products to his role as Director of Hardware Engineering. Such products have included a wide variety of enzyme and optical based sensors, as well as high volume consumer goods at overseas manufacturing plants.

Dan has tailored his skills to effectively participate and lead multidisciplinary product development teams from LRIP (Low Rate of Initial Production) to medium volume sustained production of >150,000 units/year. 

Currently, Mr. Metzinger’s responsibilities, with his team of 8 people, are in product development and sustainability for ChemImage Sensor Systems line of business, as well as upcoming products in the ChemImage Life Sciences line of business.

Dan holds a BS in BioEngineering from The University of Pittsburgh. While at The University of Pittsburgh, Dan’s concentration was in artificial organs.
